NEET Chapter Wise Weightage 2024 with Important Topics
Hello future docs. I hope you have gone through the NEET syllabus. If not, go through the NEET chemistry syllabus 2024, NEET Biology Syllabus 2024 and NEET Physics Syllabus 2024 before understanding the weightage of the subjects.
NEET Chapter Wise Weightage 2024
It is important to understand the weightage of the chapters along with the syllabus too. If you know how many chances a chapter has to appear in the question paper, you can plan your study accordingly. You need to make sure that you’re not missing out on any topic from high weightage topics.
Weightage becomes especially important when you have less time for NEET preparation.
NEET Chapter Wise Weightage 2024 for Botany
Biology is full of examples and dates. I remember when I started studying, I used to just skip the examples, hoping that they are not asked in the exams. But, guess what? Half of the biology paper, especially the botany section requires memorization of the examples and dates.
You can see the weightage given below to understand the importance of the example-based chapters.

NEET Chapter Wise Weightage 2024 for Zoology
I used to like zoology more than botany because it had fewer memory-based chapters and more concepts. The physiology unit was my favourite.
Later, I also realized that the foundation of MBBS studies is based on human physiology, justifying its high weightage. You can check the detailed weightage in the table below.

NEET Chapter Wise Weightage 2024 for Chemistry
I find the chemistry weightage a little tricky, because it is very difficult to leave out anything. Even the smallest chapters like ‘Hydrogen’ can show up in the exam.
Besides, all the three components- Physical chemistry, Organic chemistry and Inorganic Chemistry have almost equal weightage, so you HAVE to memorize Inorganic chemistry too, no matter how irritating it is.

NEET Chapter Wise Weightage 2024 for Physics
Next is the dreaded physics. I can totally understand if you are scared of physics. It is scary after all. Don’t worry, we are going to have a series of blogs dissecting each unit of physics later on.
For now, just look at the weightage and understand that there are some ways that you can maximize your score even if you don’t understand all the units. Stick to high weightage topics if you have less time. We have discussed the ‘Do or die’ topics for physics in another blog.

What do you understand from weightage?
The only takeaway is that YOU HAVE TO STUDY EVERYTHING. There’s nothing you can skip considering the crazy 20 lakh student competition out there.
The cut-off is increasing every year at an exponential rate, they are expecting more and more accuracy from the students.
Low on time? Do or die chapters for NEET.
If you do not have the time to study everything now, we have made a list of all the do or die chapters for NEET.
Focus on these chapters can help you get a safe score, if studied properly.
Now how are we going to complete the NEET Syllabus?
