Peer Pressure: Kaise Deal Kare? (Hinglish)
Now that we have talked about the types of people you meet during preparation, let’s focus on how to deal with all the pressure these people put on you. (pehla wala blog nahi padha? abhi padhlo)
Chalo fir mere mahabharat ke arjun, batati hu duniya ke against kese jaana hai. Bass instead of a rath, imagine we’re chit-chatting over chai, and I’m giving you the golden gyaan. Bhaiya, 2 cutting laa dijiye fir toh? ☕
What Is Peer Pressure?
First things first, let’s decode what peer pressure is. It’s like that friend who insists you try the spicy Golgappa even if you’re not into spicy food. But guess what? You’ve got the power to say, “Nah, I’m good.”
Similarly, NEET prep ke waqt bhi you’ll be surrounded by people who insist ‘HC Verma nahi solve ki bhai tune? Tu kaise NEET clear karega’ or ‘Aree mene toh 3 books se sab biology examples ratt rakhe hai, tune nahi kiye?’
Identify karo ki kon sahi bol raha hai and kon khud misinformed hai. Learn to embrace your choices, And jo padh rahe ho, vo apne speed pe, apne velocity, apne frequency pe karna hai. Koi na koi tumse faster, smarter and better hoga hi. Learn to be okay with your choices and your pace.
“To Peer Pressure or Not To Peer Pressure?” That is NOT the Question!
There is no way that you won’t face peer pressure during NEET prep. Bass is se kitna affect hona hai ya nahi yeh tumhe decide karna hai.
It is all about confidence at the end of the day. If tumhe pata hai ki tumhari preparation achi hai, toh tumhe kisi aur ki preparation se insecurity ya fomo nahi hoga. Create trust and confidence in yourself.
The ‘Competition Ka Keeda’
Oh, the ‘Competition Ka Keeda.’ jo kisi coil se nahi marta. Competition should ideally be your motivation. Think about it: they’re raising the bar, and you’re ready to jump over it.
Woh classes se aage badhkar 2 chapter karraha he, toh tum 3 karo. Always strive to be better. But again, always keep this in mind, DON’T LET IT GET TO YOUR HEAD. Nothing is worth more than your sanity and your self-esteem.
The Mighty ‘Self-Belief’ Shield
Every superhero movie has that scene where the hero starts believing in himself and suddenly, he’s invincible? Sach mai hota hai. No matter what, fail bhi ho rahe ho toh don’t get into the spiral of ‘Mai shayad capable hi nahi hu.’
Ache se bethke analyse karo ki kya galti hui, preparation mai kaha kami thi, kese improve kar sakte hai.
Iss cheez mai your parents can play a major role. Confide them in, unko sab bata do, khudke dimaag mai kya chalraha hai. Ask them to be supportive and to help you stand up when you’re down. Trust me, kaafi kuch aasaan hojayega.
Turn ‘Competition’ into ‘Collaboration’
Co-bedding ke baare mai toh pata hi hoga na? Bade ho kar, why do we shun that innate human desire to have someone to fight along with us? From personal experience, it works wonders- studying together.
Just give yourself the liberty to be as honest and vulnerable as possible, basics bhi nahi aa rahe ho toh discuss it out with your friends. If you get that one study-buddy jiske saath pace bhi match hoti ho and who’s as patient with you as you are with them then toh you’re sorted.
Chalo fir Insta ke bio mai daaldo- DM for NEET collaboration.
“Pressure Cooker Ya Pressure Reliever?”
You know, NEET prep can sometimes feel like you’re inside a pressure cooker, with the whistle about to blow any minute. But iss pressure cooker ka whistle, is up to you to control.
Kaise? By turning it into a pressure reliever. Take breaks, indulge in your hobbies, and remember, it’s okay to just breathe and exist somedays. You are allowed to have a ‘you’ outside of NEET.
The ‘Comparison Ka Chakkar’
The comparison game is never-ending. “Sharma ji ka beta toh yeh kar raha hai, Gupta ji ki beti toh woh kar rahi hai.” But suno, you’re neither Sharma ji’s beta nor Gupta ji’s beti. You’re you, and that’s your superpower.
Don’t get caught in the ‘Comparison Ka Chakkar’. Instead, set your own milestones and celebrate every small victory. However cliche it sounds, you should only ever compare yourself with yourself. Kalse better karrahe ho kya tum? Apne expectations, apne short term goals pure karrahe ho kya tum? If yes, toh aur kisi se compare karne ki koi zaroorat nahi hai.
The ‘Social Media Ke Side Effects’
Aaj kal, everyone’s life on social media looks perfect. Intimidate hone ke pehle remember, it’s just a highlight reel. Don’t get bogged down by someone else’s Instagram story of them studying for 10 hours straight. Maybe they took a 5-hour nap in between, maybe woh video 10 days ke period mai film hui hai. You never know.
So, next time you scroll through your feed… just don’t?
The ‘Self-Care Isn’t Selfish’ Mantra
During this intense prep phase, don’t forget to take care of yourself. If the people around you are overwhelming you bohot zyada, don;t be scared to take a day off, a day alone. Jo karna hai karo, whether it’s indulging in your favorite dish, taking a walk, meditating, or just listening to some soulful music – do what makes you feel good.
Mind relax karo, thoda better feel hoga toh get back to work. Remember, a relaxed mind can achieve more than a stressed one.
The ‘Feedback, Not Backfeed’
Always be open to feedback. Whether it’s from teachers, peers, or even yourself. But ensure it’s constructive.
Don’t let it turn into backfeed, jaha tum constantlty past mistakes ko lekar rote raho. Learn, evolve, and move forward. Mistakes ko piche chodna seekho!
The ‘NEET Dreams, Not Nightmares’
Lastly, visualize your success. Before sleeping, imagine yourself clearing NEET with flying colors. Iss time par tumhe bilkul yeh sochneke ki zaroorat nahi hai ki kon tumse better perform kar raha hai. Just remember why you started and envision where you want to go.
This positive reinforcement will give you the motivation to wake up the next day with renewed energy. Kisi ko bhi dekhkar khudke baare mai bura lage toh just go vback to this late night talk/thoughts that you have with youself.
Embrace Your Unique Spark
Here’s the deal: you’re not a photocopy; you’re an original masterpiece. Your journey is your canvas, jaise paint karna hai karo.
Tiger hai tu tiger beta, roar. Don’t hold back from sounding different. Sabka apna tareeka, apna pace hota hai. Agar tumhare routine se tumhe results mil raahe hai then don’t deviate just because it is not aligning with the rest of the aspirants’ routines.
Topper’s ke interviews dekho, sab yehi kahege “Don’t be scared to follow your own schedule and way of study.”
Winning the Race Without Losing Your Pace
Agar tum starting mai ekdum rush kar ke khatam kar rahe ho pura syllabus and second half mai chill kar rahe ho yeh sochke ki tumhe toh sab aata hai, toh khatre mai ho friend.
Winning is about consistent effort. So, agar sab ho hi gaya hai toh don’t quit revising, dusro ko sikhado for your revision, just be consistent. Yaad aana chahiye sab during the paper, and voh bhi ekdum abruptly. Fingertips pe nahi hua toh time ke vajah se nahi nikaal paoge, chahe kitne bhi ache se concepts kyu na aate ho.
So for people who get intimidated by the ones who study jaldi jaldi and then rest, tension ki koi baat nahi hai.
Toh, Ready Steady NEET!
Okay friends, filhaal itna hi bolugi. Kabhi khud pe doubt bhi hoo toh, think of Shah Rukh Khan’s iconic pose with his arms wide open in “Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge” – that’s your confident stance through the NEET journey. Sirf aage dekhna hai, guys. Zyada right left mat dekho.
Signing off with itne saare good wishes of healthy competition for you,
Your NEET buddy, always ready to conquer the world with you!
