NEET eligibility Updates (Changes) 2024 :
- PCM (Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics) and Biotechnology students are now qualified to take the NEET 2024 exam, according to a new change to the NEET eligibility requirements. They can now pursue their goal of becoming an effective doctor.
- Earlier, Biology was a compulsory subject but now, since the government is focusing on the NEW EDUCATION POLICY- this new change has been enforced.
- Graduate Medical Education Regulation, 2023: According to this regulation, a key change in NEET age eligibility criteria has been made by the authorities. Now onward, aspirants must complete 17 years of age by 31st January in the year of admission. Earlier, it was the 31st of December.

NEET 2024 registration will most likely begin on the official website in January. The NTA has officially confirmed the exact date for the NEET 2024 Exam Date, which will take place on May 5, 2024.

Is there any Age Limit in NEET 2024?
The latest guidelines for NEET 2024 have brought significant changes to the eligibility criteria, particularly in terms of age restrictions and other requirements.
As per the recent announcement by the health ministry, the NEET Exam 2024 no longer imposes an upper age limit for candidates.
This major update was officially declared by the National Medical Commission (NMC) on March 9, 2022, effectively abolishing the previous age-related restrictions for NEET 2024. Consequently, candidates who are 17 years old or older are now eligible to apply for the NEET 2024 Exam.
Previously, the NEET exam had enforced an age cap, limiting applicants to 30 years for the reserved category and 25 years for the general category but now it has been removed.
However, these restrictions have now been removed, opening up the examination to a broader range of aspirants.

Age Relaxation For Indian Nationals in NEET 2024
Minimum NEET age limit
The minimum NEET age limit to appear for NEET 2024 is 17 years.
By the 31st of JAnuary 2024, you should have completed or completed 17 years of age.
In simpler terms, if your birthdate falls on or before the 31st of December 2007, you are eligible to write the NEET UG 2024 exam.
However, if your date of birth is on or after the 1st of January 2008, you are not eligible for the NEET UG 2024 entrance exam.
Maximum NEET age limit
The maximum age limit for NEET UG has been removed. The National Medical Commission (NMC) (the new MCI), through the Under Graduate Medical Education Board (UGMEB), has abolished the upper age restriction. Consequently, there is no maximum NEET age limit for NEET UG 2024, providing candidates with more flexibility. ( Even 65-year-olds have started clearing NEET bro, the competition is high.)
Educational Qualification For Indian Nationals in NEET 2024
Candidates must have completed or will be appearing for the 10+2 examination or its equivalent from a recognized board.
The qualifying examination should include core subjects in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English.

The Number of Attempts For Indian Nationals in NEET 2024
There is no limit on the number of attempts for the NEET Exam 2024. Candidates can appear for NEET as many times as they fulfill the NEET 2024 eligibility criteria. The minimum age requirement for NRI/OCI/foreign candidates to appear for NEET 2024 is 17 years as of December 31, 2024.
There is no maximum NEET age limit for these candidates.
Nationality for NRI/OCI/Foreign Candidates in NEET 2024
